102nd Indy 500 Set For Sunday


The "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" takes place this Sunday with the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500.  Ed Carpenter claimed the pole position last weekend.  Simon Pagenaud and Will Power will start alongside him on the front row.  Competing in her final race, Danica Patrick qualified seventh and will start in row three.  Japan's Takuma Sato is the defending champion and starts in row six.  Today is "Carb Day" at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which features the Indy Lights Freedom 100 race and the Pit Stop Challenge.  Sunday's race starts at 12:19 p.m. Eastern.
