Celebrate Local Entrepreneurs & Students with Food Family & Fortitude Event

Eastpointe High School hosts a special evening with local business leaders, current students, alumni and the best of the Tucson food scene to recognize the school’s traditional, Rise Up and Leading Ladies program. Held Wednesday, September 29 at 5 pm at the school, 8495 E Broadway Blvd, Eastpointe invites current and prospective students, their families, local businesses and Tucson residents to learn more about what Eastpointe has to offer.

The school’s innovative approach to charting a path for young women, called Leading Ladies Empowerment Program, is the newest addition to an already robust curriculum. The Food, Family and Fortitude event is a celebratory occasion, to inspire and connect current students with those that have come before them. Attendees will hear alumni, current students and successful leaders share personal stories of adversity and triumph.

“COVID left an impact on our school, our curriculum and how we ready the next generation of the workforce,” said James Meehan, CEO of Eastpointe High School, Inc. “Our students are the key to redefining business. In an environment that is uncharted territory, they have the innovative and entrepreneurial ideas to help us navigate a post COVID world. Eastpointe simply provides the support to realize their vision. This event is about connecting students with local leaders and their stories to inspire action. All of us need to be reminded and encouraged that it can be done.”

This family-friendly event is open to the public. To RSVP, please send an email with the first and last name of attendees to RSVP@eastpointehs.net by Monday, September 27. Food and drinks will be provided by local establishments.

Eastpointe is looking for business owners to participate in the event, both to speak and provide small, in-kind donations. Businesses should contact dtoler@eastpointehs.net to learn more.
